Areas of Responsibility: First-Year Pre-Registration, First-Year Seminar and First-Year Launch Programs, SPCL 395 (graduating seniors), Triple-I Program
Ben joined the Office of Undergraduate Curricula in 2012. As the First-Year Curriculum Specialist, he oversees administrative procedures for the Triple-I, First-Year Seminar, and First-Year Launch Programs. He also manages the first-year pre-registration process into the fall semester, a team effort with colleagues across campus partnering to ensure fair and equitable access to First-Year Foundations classes for our incoming first-year students. Ben enjoys working with teams to implement new applications designed to improve the student, faculty, and staff user experience. Past projects include the previous College course evaluation system (Class Climate), Online Syllabus Manager (OSM), Online Learning Contract Manager (OLCM), and Curriculum Inventory Manager (CIM Courses). Recently, Ben was on the IDEAs in Action Implementation Team, where he helped to develop the Triple-I and First-Year Launch Programs. Ben earned his undergraduate degree from Flagler College in Psychology. In other lives, he was a motel manager, youth crisis counselor, student services manager, and curriculum analyst. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, taking pictures (poorly), gardening (again, poorly), reading, listening to music, exploring the natural world and built environment, and spending as much time as possible with his partner and daughter.
